Project Overview


Having traded online for a few years, Pulsin were starting to come up against different issues with their Magento platform - notability site speed, consumer usability and in-house control. They wanted a platform that would grow inline with their business and long-term goals, and not restrict them in the same way their Magento platform had started to. They also needed an agency that were responsive and keen to help them grow.

Replatforming from Magento


Having looked at a number of different replatforming options such as Shopify, Magento 2 and BigCommerce they pinned tradeit as the ideal solution. On speaking to various agencies they also found Red's level of service and knowledge far superior, making them feel more confident in selecting them.


A 'one-stop shop' for ecommerce


It wasn't just the platform that made Red stand out it was all the auxiliary services too. Having the dev and hosting teams under one roof (with Magneto they had dev, extension providers and hosting all separate) makes support so much cleaner and quicker. On pinning Red as the "dream website company", they've also been reassured by the on-going support and aftercare since launching on tradeit, as they had experience of other companies who just "leave you to it" when you go live. It's very much a partnership rather than a traditional agency, client relationship with two-way dialogue actively encouraged to suggest future improvements and enhancements.

Built-in blogs


Content is still king and, as a health brand who look to inform, educate and share alongside selling their products, it's an important part of their marketing strategy. Having a built-in blog, was a vital part of this. In fact, not only are Pulsin using tradeit's blogging tools to list articles but also for publishing recipes from some of their brand ambassadors under their own category. This ensures any SEO value is retained within their ecommerce site, rather than diluted via separately hosted blogs.


A brighter online future


Compared to their old Magento system the sky is the limit with tradeit and there are so many different options they plan to explore for future growth such as B2B ecommerce, international expansion, and subscriptions which can all be driven by their existing installation of tradeit. It's all part of their plans to build a stronger online presence to become a fully-fledged ecommerce store rather than an information site with a bit of shopping. Here's to the future.
