Why Punchout Connect

  • Support for cXML and OCI

Compatible with the procurement standards used by major systems.

Manages authentication, session initiation, customer‑specific pricing, controlled catalogue visibility and structured basket return.

  • Faster customer onboarding

A reusable integration layer reduces custom development and ongoing maintenance.

You onboard new customers faster and with fewer technical dependencies.

  • Secure and reliable

Authentication, session initiation and validation ensure stable, secure and auditable punchout connections.

  • Consistent buying experience

Buyers begin in their procurement system, then access your ecommerce site through a secure punchout session that applies contract pricing and catalogue rules.

Session initiation

The buyer selects your company inside their procurement system. A PunchOutSetupRequest opens a secure, authenticated session on your ecommerce site.

Catalogue browsing on your site

The buyer shops on your site with contract pricing, controlled catalogue visibility and live stock availability.

Basket return to procurement

The basket is returned to the procurement system as structured cXML or OCI data, ready to create a requisition.

Approval and purchase order creation

The buyer completes internal approvals within their procurement system, which then generates and sends the purchase order.
