Reviews & Comments
Leverage User Generated Content (UGC) by providing facilities for users to comment and review products or content on your website. As with any form of UGC site administrators and content editors will have the option to review any content that has been submitted prior to publishing to approve, edit or delete the submission. How reviews and comments are displayed to users is totally customisable and can also be leveraged to drive faceted navigation and faceted search.
Questions & Answers
Encourage interaction not only between your website and your users but between users themselves. Using dynamic Q&A functionality you can invite users to post questions they have about a particular product of piece of content and allow other users to respond and post answers to them. All questions and answers submitted can be subject to a review process allowing a content editor to approve, edit or delete the submission prior to anything going live on the site. Users submitting content via the Q&A can also be required to have an account on the website before they are able to submit their question or answer.
Tell a friend
Use tradeIT’s tell a friend functionality to encourage sharing and word of mouth marketing for all of your products and can be easily integrated into webpage templates. The tell-a-friend feature allows registered and non-registered customers to share product content via email. Customers can add multiple email addresses to share content with and merchants can control the content of the email and design of the email through the administration system. Merchants can also compose offers and discounts to be applied to the referrer and referees rewarding their sharing efforts using tradeIT’s promotion engine.

Facebook Social Plug-ins, Pages, Insights & Open Graph Reporting
By introducing social plug-ins such as the Like button plugin, Facebook is aligning itself to become the central hub for its user’s tastes and preferences across the web. More than 500 million active users’ likes represent marketing gold dust providing it is leveraged effectively. Social Plugins or Widgets are the easiest way to start integrating with the Facebook Platform. These plugins are embeddable and can be rapidly integrated into your site. Because these plugins are hosted by Facebook, they are personalised for all users who are currently logged into Facebook, even if they are visiting your site for the first time.
Social plug-ins
One of the most popular social plugins to be included is websites is the Facebook like button. By adding the like button to your site allows users to share your content pages and products with their friends via Facebook. Other Facebook plugins that are available include comments & activity feeds which are both readily integrated with Red’s conductit CMS.
Facebook Pages
Having a presence actually on Facebook is now one of the key requirements for businesses. Red offer professional services to aid businesses by setting up and maintaining their presence on Facebook. Facebook Page creation can involve the inclusion of hidden / exclusive content requiring the user to like the page before revealing or having access it.
Facebook Insights & Open Graph Reporting
Facebook Open Graph will use these Facebook plug-ins to give you valuable reporting and insight into how your products and content are being shared through the social sphere. At present approximately 50,000 sites are using the Facebook like plug-in and by integrating those with Facebook Open Graph, website owners could access a list of everything a user has “liked” across the whole web. The future impact that Facebook will have on ecommerce is potentially very large, as Facebook is now moving closer to positioning itself as a standard data source that can be leveraged for sophisticated onsite personalisation, recommendations, highly targeted communications and more.
